Montreal, July 22, 2020 – From its very beginning, the Fantasia International Film Festival has always relied on the support of many sponsors, partners, and advertisers. For our 24th edition, our event brought together a set of partners, the majority of whom have been loyal to us for many years. We are particularly proud and touched this summer by the involvement of our partners, sponsors, and advertisers who remain loyal to the festival despite the Covid-19 crisis we are currently going through, and all the uncertainties it brings on so many levels.
For the fifth edition in a row, Videotron is positioning itself as the Lead sponsor of the festival. A Canadian leader in telecommunications and entertainment, Videotron is always on the lookout for cutting-edge technologies to provide the best experience for its customers. Regarding this collaboration, Pierre Corbeil, president and founder of the festival, declares, “The partnership with Videotron allows us in particular to reach a large audience in Quebec, and film lovers, through a powerful series of truly complementary media.” For the second year in a row, Desjardins is also very proud to be associated again with the festival as a Major sponsor of the festival. Desjardins provides significant support to the community, particularly through sponsorships encouraging the development and dissemination of the arts and culture of our province.
For this new edition, Fantasia is excited to welcome new sponsor partners, including MELS and Peak Media. Recognized worldwide for its film studios and highly skilled team, MELS is one of the largest film and television service companies in Canada. It offers a turnkey service, from scenario to delivery. Peak Media is a Quebec company involved in post-production (television, cinema, advertising) and sound creation for over 15 years.
Fantasia is also very proud to confirm the return of the following companies as sponsors of our annual event: Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Toronto), The Japan Foundation JET Programme, Arrow Video, Vinegar Syndrome, Nongshim, Positive Byte and My Air Bridge.
The 2020 edition of the festival is also made possible thanks to the support of the following partners: Association des Réalisateurs et Réalisatrices du Québec (ARRQ), Canadian Cinema Editors, Entreprises Vidéo Service (EVS), NAD - School of Digital Arts, Animation and Design, SLA Location and SPIRA, the Independent cinema cooperative.
